In this video photographer Phillip McCordall covers real light painting, how to shoot a subject in a studio only using one moving light source, a torch in this case.

your lessons are great! we want more videos 🙂
Thanks , I’ll try to do one a week, although it’s not always possible as they take a bit of time, thanks again.
Great idea! Thanks for sharing.

Great video 😉
I also am before digital. and agree what you did is light painting. I had to do a sofa with endntables and lighted lamps. More challanging and fun. Thanks for the refresher.

Although most things can be done with photoshop, I’m finding that there is a severe lack of quality in advertising photography , it somehow lacks the spur of the moment look and certainly the WOW factor of seeing an impossible shot achieved, so I was lucky enough to retire at the right time, and live with some great memories.

Cheers to you too sir!
Excellent videos! the vies on every video of yours should be much, MUCH more….
P. S. Great work again! 🙂
Thankyou for the comment, I’m making one at this very moment but I’m looking for subjects at the moment , any ideas would be very helpful 🙂

These videos are gifts, they are as exciting as Christmas! 🙂
I am so excited:)
I love to see the things you “try.” It is infectious!
Thank you for another fabulous video:)
This dear sir was very inspiring! When i started off with photography, i got myself one expensive ass speedlight and as i learned more about photography, i learned that i didnt really need it yet!
This video pushed me to learn more about lighting!
After I watched this video, i spent days trying this on several objects. here i combined lightpainting with some light drawing: on.fb. me/IuJzRh (take the spaces out)
it was a good feeling not to use photoshop!
I’m afraid I can’t access the image, if you could upload it to itchyphoto.c-o-m (without the hyphens) It’s a free site, I will be happy to give you my opinion.
Glad to see that my videos help you.
All the best

Wow! So many yrs of experience! Even though there’s photoshop, it takes an artist to come up with the best photos. Thanks for your videos. Very inspiring.
Thank you , very kind.
